Music students to take part in music festival

The music students at New College Pontefract are certainly looking to the future post lockdown restrictions. 3 of our bands have applied and been successful in securing a booking for Wakefield’s famous Long Division festival in September! Look out for the release of the schedule and confirmed acts on June 30th!

Blue Chandelier are our year 13 band consisting of George Barratt, James Keith, Sam Broadhirst and Leo Fradgley. They play a mix of their own mix of high energy indie-pop material!

We have also TLP (The Last Programme) which consists of year 12 students Drew Nolan, Tom Reynolds, Ethan Lee and external singer named Jude Allison. They play a mix of originals and covers in the indie rock style with their own twist!

Finally, we have another year 12 band, The Curtains which has year 12 students Naomi Moore, Alex Wan and Harry Brenton. They play well known covers in their own unique style.

The performing arts department are thrilled to hear that some of our music students have secured these fantastic performance opportunities and we urge you to go see some of our students performing if you can!
